SIMPLE SALSA - Recipe

It only takes a few minutes on the web or in a bookstore and you can find hundreds, even thousands of recipes for SALSA.

This recipe is a simple one for making a basic fresh Salsa that you can put together quickly, anytime, and it will always taste great.

INGREDIENTS:

1              Med.     Green Bell Pepper, chopped
1              Med.     Red Onion, chopped
3              lg.           Tomatoes, chopped
4              tbs.        Red Wine Vinegar
1              tbs.        Lemon Juice
1              tsp.        Cumin, ground
3              tbs.        Parsley, chopped
1              tsp.        Salt
1              tsp.        Pepper, rough grind
1              tbs.        Hot sauce

DIRECTIONS:

1.       Combine the Green pepper, Onion, Parsley in a blender until finely chopped.
2.       Remove the mixture from the blender and add to the chopped tomatoes in a bowl.
3.       Stir in the Vinegar, Lemon Juice and hot Sauce.
4.       Heat the Cumin in a saucepan at low heat for two minutes.
5.       Add the Cumin to the mixture and stir together well.
6.       Add the Salt and Pepper, and place in a covered bowl.
7.       Chill the mixture until ready to serve.

NOTE: This recipe only uses a small amount of Hot sauce, but you can experiment with adding a few sliced Jalapeno Peppers, a little more hot sauce, or another of your favorite Spicy ingredients to heat things up a little.

NOTE: Using Fresh Ingredients in anything is a good thing, and a really good Salsa is not exception, so take a few extra minutes to find the freshest ingredients you can.

They listed it as a popular sauce made and used by many of the locals for their own cooking.

It's easy to make and it really kicks up whatever the Fish might be that you are broiling.

HUNGARIAN FOOD - Hungarian Goulash - a traditional family recipe.

Hungarian Goulash

In my travels over the years, I have sampled this dish, Hungarian Goulash, a number of times. If prepared properly, it can be a great and hearty dish.

Once in a friends home, and it was, honestly an over-salted thick "mush".

Another time, I was in a small restaurant in Malmo, Sweden and they served this dish to me, and it was fantastic.

Its hearty flavors were blended together so well that each spoon was a treat for my taste buds.
